Mobile solutions startup Wazzio yesterday launched its platform Rylli in the greater Toronto area in Canada. The app allows people to search through a selection of services based on proximity and availability, allowing customers to get what they want, when they want it in tight situations, and benefiting companies who want round-the-clock business.

As a mobile solutions company, Wazzio realized that smartphone users are cluttering up their devices with a multitude of one-off services apps, quickly prompting them to launch an instant gratification, all-inclusive app for services. Rylli’s easy-to-use platform lets people get access to services instantly in real-time from available providers in their area based on their location and budget. Services include anything from the following categories: aesthetics, mechanics, design and other, for freelancers/media.

Users simply sign up to use the app and are able to search for brick and mortar businesses, freelancers or consultants. They can then book the service and pay directly through the app. Service providers sign up and create a profile advertising their business. They can see appointment requests pop up in real-time, make bookings also in real-time, and offer customers the convenience of cashless transactions.

The app will be particularly helpful to newer, smaller businesses or freelancers who are planning to get their name out there quickly. The recent minimum wage hike in Ontario, although regarded a positive move for the province, has put a strain on local businesses, as many considered raising their prices and cutting staff. But Rylli aims to benefit local and family-owned service providers, and bring more clients through their doors.

The app offers 24/7 increased visibility for service providers, allowing businesses to reach new customers or get more customers on busy days, analytics on what people want and the freedom to work full- or part-time. The app is free for customers and service providers alike. Service providers have the ability to price their service(s) accordingly, knowing that Wazzio takes a small percentage of each transaction–the cost of doing business–for advertising their business 24/7 and managing credit card transaction fees.

Rylli will be available only in Ontario for now but Wazzio is hoping to expand to other parts of Canada this year – to Alberta and then British Columbia – before eventually taking the app worldwide.

Wazzio Founder and CEO Cher Grant said: “We’re thrilled to be launching this app in Ontario and we know its 14 million residents will be, too. With so many apps and devices out there hoping to make getting what you want easier, we at Wazzio came up with the idea for Rylli. Imagine your car breaks down and you need a mechanic immediately, or if you’re late for an event and your usual hairdresser isn’t available. Rylli makes getting a service closest to you, in your price range, as quickly and easily as possible.”
